The Harold K. L. Castle Foundation and Kamehameha Schools have made substantial contributions to the Hawai‘i Change Leadership Project, the predecessor of Academy 21. The support, leadership and expertise from these organizations allow Academy 21 to continue breaking new ground in the development of programs and practices that lead to adaptive leadership in schools, which in turn provides students with the skills they need to succeed in the 21st century.
Academy 21 was developed in collaboration with the Change Leadership Group at the Harvard Graduate School of Education (CLG). Co-directors of this project are Tony Wagner, author of The Global Achievement Gap and Robert Kegan, co-author of Immunity to Change. We owe them a great deal for their depth of inquiry, their willingness to discover and uncover new territory with us, and to support the realization of Academy 21 as a thriving change leadership business.
We also want to give a big, BIG mahalo to our partners who helped us slave away over collateral copy, design elements, branding suggestions and marketing throughout building Academy 21 over the last six months. Mahalo nui loa to Teri Yamashige of Three, A Marketing Group, LLC., Jeff Schwartz of
Kela Associates, Marisa Castuera Hayase of Storyline Consulting Inc., Nestor Trillo of
Ava Niu, Inc. and Ron Nakayama of Nakayama Design.
